@nikolal VPNs are fine. You can use Windows without a license. It just prevents you from changing the wallpaper. I would just use Libre Office instead of MS Office. I have an Office license, but I still use Libre Office most of the time. Europe is more relaxed than the US. I haven't heard of DMCA notices going to European ISPs.

@nikolal Also, there are some benefits to using an unlicensed official copy of windows, such as less bloatware and not having to worry about malware from cracked copies.
