It's a witch hunt. "TERF" is a slur used to villify and even dehumanize women who don't bow down to what a supposedly "liberal" sub-section of society, consisting of many men in particular, has deemed to be best for them.

You can read other pages on the same wiki to understand why transgender activists can't stand the opinions of these women. Many of these women are long-time feminists or lesbians but those who call them "TERF" have convinced themselves that they are the Root of All Evil and secretly conspire with the far-right. 🙄

@nikolal @TransKoolaid @isolategab I've browsed it after noticing someone reacting to one of my toots. The one weird thing is they use "gabs" instead of "toots". Seems too easy to get lumped together with the rest of Gab instances that way (-_-)

It's supposed to be Mastodon fork that respects freedom of speech, that's the only difference afaik, code is same as Mastodons. Different names are there to make difference between too, although code wise difference is very blurry. I don't know how community is like on Gab, but I don't believe all of them are nazis, and word nazi kinda lost its original meaning

It probably is true, but I don't know about their threat in Europe (even eastern Europe), our great grandfathers actually killed nazis and they will never make anything solid enough to fulfill their goals, if they try they will be stopped in any way possible by government, people etc. Real nazis are almost extinct, people who dislike some particular minority are called differently, and I think America has this problem of making difference.
@nikolal @michel_slm I agree, they will be stopped by people organizing...Also agree: I do see “cosplay-Nazi wannabes” on Gab for sure. But the danger is they normalize it and over time they radicalize further. But first hand have seen very scary more sinister neo-nazi organizing there. Lastly agree that Gab Nazi’s in the US are more of a “lone wolf” threat generally. Agreed for the lone wolf part, there are always creeps like that. For extreme neo nazis there is problem of blocking them on every major social network, they will become more sophisticated in their ways of communication and organisation and will start using Tor network or chat over Signal and other good security and privacy tools that will make those tools look like bad guys only tools (like bitcoin is/was). There is Gab concern for sure but I think its overblown
