Interesting fact is that I convinced more people to switch to some Linux distro than to switch their instant messaging app.
@nikolal I think phone manufactures need to install libre messaging apps by default. That would do wonders for adoption. Its not a foreign idea. The new Blackberry's ship with Firefox focus instead of chrome.

Android will never do that since its owned by Google and Google has Google chrome. Blackberry doesn't use android and they don't need to preinstall chrome, thats why they dont use it

@c1t1z3n0n3 @nikolal I had /e/ on my Nexus 5 but then upgraded to Pixel and /e/ ROM didn't flash so installed LineageOS for MicroG, works like a charm, zero Google apps. But will switch to /e/ when it works

When I noticed on the newest contractor's version I thought of it as a chip on Googles armor.
