I have just got GuixSD running on my new Dell Latitude 5310! It wasn't exactly easy, but it was kind of pleasant: I had little trouble telling #Guix exactly what I wanted.

@neetx I’m not yet versed with #Guix, even though I do have some Nix experience (NixOS has been on my main machine since 2016). Maybe you could start by looking at https://guix.gnu.org/manual/en/guix.html#Invoking-guix-environment
This seems very close to nix-shell which I have been using extensively on #Nix and which is indeed a very nice tool. I think I’d find it extremely uncomfortable to not have such a tool at hand.
