Thoughts on News bots. Do they help Mastodon or do they do more harm than good

@nar I.dyin I find them sometimes helpful but most of them spam WAY to much and blow up your feed.
When I want to read the news I goto reddit not here 😁

@nar I think the problem comes in news personalisation. For example, every US news might not be helpful to a person in India.
@ParmuTownley Makes sense. But newsbots.eu has regional news providers, and to be honest, I mad this poll to see if I should unfollow the news bots I follow or not.

@gudishvibes Yes! I'm on all three of those.
@gudishvibes My RSS organisation skills are, questionable. I do sometimes glance at the RSS feeds, but most of them are from my government.
@nar I thought about it for a while, and decided that ambient news probably only serves to polarize and divide people.
