How to make "git init" use "default" as the default branch name instead of "master"

@Coffee alright, well I want to know one thing from you, do you think I am a morally inferior person for being in disagreement with you about this?

Your thoughts on the choice to change "master" to "main" or "default" in github...

How to make "git init" use "default" as the default branch name instead of "master"

@Coffee yeah I saw that thread, I just hadn't really discussed it that much.

How to make "git init" use "default" as the default branch name instead of "master"

@Coffee that's true. But is the term "master" racist? I don't see it. This to me is a crusade and that's doubleplusbad.

How to make "git init" use "default" as the default branch name instead of "master"

@Coffee show support for what? you don't think it is a bit absurd?

How to make "git init" use "default" as the default branch name instead of "master"

@Coffee why though?

First they came for the master/slave terminology but I did not speak up because I was not a maintainer

Then they came for the master git branches and I did not speak up because I was not a developer

Then they came for the Masters Degrees but I did not speak up because I am not rich

Then they came for the Kung-Fu masters but I did not speak up because I dont know Kung-Fu

Then they came for the Robotech Masters but nobody spoke for me because the weebs think my childhood is invalid because Robotech isn't a real anime seriously wtf guys

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz "its your room not my responsibility"

Go take a shit on her floor. Literally when your ward does something to someone else's shit, thats the definition of "your responsibility". Make her clean it up or go take a shit in the middle of her room and tell her it's not your problem when she cries about it.

People that want impose ideologically extreme things on unwilling people will always appeal to sympathy for some injustice, always. The goal is to avoid scrutiny.

I don't think you can chock it up to abusive men. There was probably enough of that, but the US has this weird puritanical thing where getting inebriated is seen as some negative thing. The banning of drugs, alcohol and the popular wisdom that these are acceptable for a government to do come from the religious roots of Europeans on the continent.

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz and then, shortly after, it became illegal to drink alcohol.

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz can't be hypocritical if you don't give a shit. Or maybe that makes you max hypocrite? Or both? Probably both, which would qualify as hypocrisy.

@dielan lol yeah they're all about rights until a man in black body armor stomps on someone's head. Then its all "he consumed a substance of some sort and stole a candy bar many years ago, that isn't murder", anything to serve as an excuse.

It's almost impossible to find a principled person period that has any opinion one way or another on mainstream politics. It's a team game.
