@gcrkrause I'm not talking specifically about you man, I know you're nowhere near the US, using "you" in English is a figure of speech, like using you as an example for "anybody". I don't actually think you torched buildings.

@gcrkrause I've never seen a Nazi burn a city block in my lifetime, just saying. In fact, I doubt I've ever seen a Nazi in my life. If so they his their identity pretty well. If you want to fight Nazis, actual Nazis, try not burning black neighborhoods next time.

@gcrkrause I don't want to try to defend the president, but he simply stated that an organization is a criminal organization. If being against an organization makes you a fascist you prove my point. If an organization doesn't exist then there's nothing to worry about.

@gcrkrause
They delegitimize themselves with their tactics and clear authoritarian preferences.

And yes, people do say things like this, all the time. See the post I responded to with that image for an example.
@fribbledom @jordan31

@gcrkrause well if there's no organization then there's nothing to worry about is there.

I don't believe in forbidding any ideas at all.

@gcrkrause
How is it stupid? I am against fascism. Who isn't? That's like being against murder. I think the image applies perfectly to said organization. Can you be against fascism without supporting a specific organization? Not according to said organization.
@fribbledom @jordan31

@rw sounds like a bunch of weirdos pretending they're not weird and demanding others do the same.

If your support of a protest is based on it's political motivations, you do not care about rights, you're a hack. The right to protest is unequivocal in the US, regardless whether you agree with it or not. I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt to disingenuous people.

So many people I see supporting the riots across the US right now (I am not opposed to them myself), citing the right to protest. Remember when the people marching on the Virginia capital were terrorist Nazis? Or when the people marching on the Michigan capital were terrorists for violating stay at home order?

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz there's a couple more that people should be hanged for engaging in. Also, there's animal fuckers.

@l0wk3y I mean, I get the sentiment, but people have been talking about this longer than he has been president, it isn't a response from some tweet getting fact checked. And honestly I didn't particularly like it (I feel that placing rules will allow these companies to become institutions, rather than let them die naturally to alternatives that do not censor) but from what I can tell, their defense contracts were hit, which is good all round.

There's a huge difference between taking a trip to the beach and deciding to stop by because "the clouds look pretty today."

@JoYo man everything is a meme nowadays. Everything is an excuse to show how virtuous you are, or how witty you are, or how edgy your are, or how smart you are or whatever. Nothing is sacred.

@JoYo well that leaves it just vague enough to criticize anyone for anything. I fail to see how bird watching has anything to do with a pandemic. It's not pike they were running a kissing booth.

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz what about out thoughts, did they do nothing?
