@Wetrix Also i find situations where Pleroma users have long threads of interactions and for some reason I cannot see the full thread. I think it has to do with a mastodon compatibility issue.
@nikolal I have done it so if you run into nonsense you have trouble figuring out DM me. It is easy but you might get caught on little things.
@Wetrix It has a higher character limit, more options for polls, the developer is a fun person, the software has a smaller footprint (i intend to run a server eventually), it has ostatus support so you can interact with more people on gnusocial, the web UI is better (although you can use Mastodon UI if you like), thats what i have off the top of my head. I had asked Jonah on reddit if there was a plan to implement it on privacytools.io and he said no, sadly. So i have to move.
As much as i like privacytools.io, I like Pleroma better than Mastodon. I have created an account on a Pleroma server, @mistermonster and intend to migrate there over the next few days. I will be following everyone i currently follow from that account, any of you that follow me, if you would like to follow that account as well that would be cool. I will keep this one as a backup but will not be using it that often in the future.
@georgia yeah lol he goes to great lengths to look really stupid.
@georgia flavor flav is a musical genius, FYI. I'm not being sarcastic, he was a piano prodigy when he was like 8, plays several instruments and wrote most of the music for Public Enemy.
@georgia so now we know you're left handed.
I am compiling in my head a list of attributes every time you leak metadata.
@glitcher32 What do you find complicated?
@glitcher32 Have you checked out Pale Moon? It is essentially a fork of old Firefox before they redesigned the whole thing. I am messing with it now to see how it works, so far so good, it can be difficult to find maintained add-ons but otherwise seems fine. You should check it out if you're sick of Firefox.
@georgia it is a very new phenomenon. It doesn't make sense to feel proud or shameful one way or another for anything you weren't involved in personally IMO.
@georgia yes. Or she wants to take you to meet men. If she knows you're gay, yes.
@Wetrix I wonder how many phone numbers someone can get from Mastodon or Pleroma.
Twitter flaw let a researcher match 17 million phone numbers with users https://www.engadget.com/2019/12/24/twitter-phone-number-matching-flaw/
@darylsun meh, Atom for writing code, Sublime for everything else.
@Wetrix movies, no. But there's a show called "The Expanse" that is super awesome, and there's Rick and Morty.
