Reddit updated their policy today, they will suspend users for voting on content that violates a rule. Voting.
They are also blocking you from viewing comments unless you are logged in or using the app.
I have deleted my reddit account today and I suggest you do the same. dev.lemmy.ml (until a stable release), littr.me, notabug.io if you want alternatives.
@Wetrix
I'm probably going to spin up a Lemmy instance for certain communities I engage in on there and invite mods to moderate if they'd like.
Amorphous content policy I can tolerate begrudgingly. But now they want you to police your thoughts. "Think before you laugh". I shouldn't have to refer to the rules to vote. If it shouldn't be on the site take it down.
@mister_monster @Wetrix they're really making this TOO EASY:) The Fediverse is going to explode with new users if they keep it up.. ha ha. This is the only escape from the thought police
@mister_monster true, but I haven't found any good alternative to reddit yet unfortunately. 😕
@Wetrix
That includes your favorite community, r/privacy ;)
