Does anyone know how to turn off the feature where toots have the app you used to toot them in it? To me it is like a user agent string and I don't particularly like leaking metadata that is really nobody's business. When I toot all I want being shared is what I said.
@glitcher32 yeah, I've got that turned off but it still shows in toots I do from mobile
@mister_monster You need to login to Mastodon on the computer (or desktop mode in browser) and there is a setting in there for it.
By default it is on, and "recommened" to use for some odd reason.
