So I've been hearing about this @fedilab thing and it sounds super feature-rich so I really want to try it out now.

Thing is, if I install it from the app-store it costs $2.50 but if I first install FDroid, it's free.

What's more ethical? 🤔

@cjd Just a heads up that Fedilab explicitly and deliberately supports Gab, make of that what you will.

@cathal Do you have a link to the discussion/issue ?
There's obviously a world of difference between "It's not our business putting instance blocks in client software" and "we support and recommend instance X"

@cjd The interesting bit is that Fedilab originally did block Gab when they feared supporting Gab would affect their income by earning a ban on Google, then later restored support.

@fedilab @cjd I read this in order to give fair consideration to your reasoning, and found that it was just as whataboutist and 'let them eat swastikas' as I imagined. I'm still very disappointed in Fedilab offering login support to a bunch of nazis on tha basis that "otherwise they'd just use the browser" or "gosh what if there were other nazi sites, what then". Perfect is the enemy of good. Any effort is the minimum level of effort. Nazis murder. The organise on Gab. They use your app.

They use the internet too why don't you boycott the internet? Or Firefox? Firefox doesn't block Nazis. They organize on the internet using Firefox.
