Why do people bother replying to the switching social guy?

@dielan I reply whenever i see him crusading against free association between nodes on the federated network on the grounds that right wingers are so dangerous we must all abandon our principles or we are just as bad as them and therefore the enemy. I feel it is important to call out, after all, sunlight is the best disinfectant.

@mister_monster
Dude has malicious beliefs sure, but what i saw today is just ignorance. Once he finally got it thru his thick skull that mastodon broke the spec for this feature he enjoyed all he had to say they are doing the right thing

Useful idiots like him are why mastodon dev has such an impact on all the other implementations. Much like they all did with rich text, other projects just need to give mastodon the finger, and more often

@dielan this? mastodon.at/@switchingsocial/1

Lol I think i have been blocked by him because the last time i saw a post of his i replied calling him an authoritarian that wants to control discussion. They don't like sunlight that much. Kind of meta, finding this discussion now.

"Masta broke from the AP protocol? Seems like they are doing it right and everyone else is doing it wrong" hah.
