I have my DNS server in the "cloud" with DoT enabled. It functions similar to Pi-hole.
For Nextcloud at home I'm going to buy a mini PC (like Intel NUC or similar), RaspberryPI is kinda weak for that, and (I think) won't be as reliable.

@Lindsaythelibrarian
I actually started reading in English with Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time saga, because I probably read it 6 or more times in my language. And it was a rough start, I looked up every third word in a prologue.
Thankfully, I love learning English for some reason, so it wasn't a showstopper for me. Later on I read some casual books for teens.
Do you play games? I probably play too much, but I justify it by only playing in English ๐Ÿ˜€
Some games can help learning a language ๐ŸŽฎ

@Lindsaythelibrarian
slowly reading Stephen King - The Stand (started before the virus)
Actually bored by that one, but I kinda do it to improve my English

plans:
The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson
(already read first two books, but need to do it again before the next books)
A great story, a bit slow in the beginning though

Well, I guess propaganda is a new weapon of mass destruction. It should be outlawed some day. It does horrible things to people's minds and souls.

Watching today's trial with Alexey Navalny was like having a bad dream. You hope you wake up tomorrow and nothing of it happened.

It's a strange feeling, I'm Russian and I actually want to live here, it's my home, and at the same time there are so many different people here who vote for Putin, who think assassination is okay if it's done in a state's interest, and The West actually wants to conquer us and Putin is the only person stopping it from happening.

Yeah, I'm a newbie in DWH field, and we have a PR every 3 months where we discuss my KPI. And it's only a tip of the iceberg. Sometimes it makes me furious, sometimes I laugh when colleagues obscure their speech so much they stop understanding each other ๐Ÿ˜‚

Eating Animals

@Lindsaythelibrarian
It's nice to see a fellow vegan here! (You followed my account where I write in other language, so I followed you with an English speaking one).

My family is not sponsoring animal abuse in any form for 3 years, and it's been great. I only wish my city had more vegan places to go out, but it's okay, we plan to move soon anyways.

I'm sure some good quality sleep will make it go away then ๐Ÿ˜€
Take care!

> Sleep issues. Itโ€™s pretty common to hear a sound just as you fall asleep or wake up. And itโ€™s usually not something to see your doctor about. But if you fall asleep randomly (narcolepsy) or have a hard time falling asleep (insomnia), itโ€™s much more likely to happen.

I've seen an opinion on some other website that a good 7-8h sleep and a stable sleep schedule would help.
Some other website says hearing things when you fall asleep may be caused by stress.

It's kinda normal to hear sounds when you fall asleep. I sometimes listen to voices arguing, laughing etc. for a couple of minutes. Funny, most of their words don't make any sense. There is even a term for that, but I forgot it.

From this page:

Mental illness is one of the more common causes of auditory hallucinations, but there are a lot of other reasons, including:

The most important thing to know is that they require quite some care: they need an UV lamp and a basking lamp\spot
Aquatic turtles need a powerful philter to clean their waste _and_ a partial change of water from time to time.

As pets, they are different. Some like to cuddle and sleep on their mamas, others may bite and pee :)
But they all surely like scratching

Ours also love doing crazy stuff in the water, jumping from her basking spot, etc.

Does anyone here host his email with a provider like rackspace or hetzner?
Could you recommend one? 2-3 inboxes and ton of aliases.
I have Protonmail for sensitive data, but in my country local people and companies can't have emails delivered to Protonmail (long story) so I'm gonna need smth else.
I'm currently using Anonaddy to encrypt and forward everything to Protonmail and it's awesome, but it has a 10MB attachement limit and 50MB total monthly limit and I wouldn't use it for business email.

@Wetrix
You're awesome!
We have a turtle with somewhat similar history (people often buy them as toys and don't bother caring for them), my wife got her into our family and now she's a healthy & happy little thing.

I believe it's about this:
> People have suggested that the new terms allow Instagram to view and analyse things through your front camera, copy your address book, call log and SMS history and collect information from everything you search on the site.

Have no desire to read it all since I don't use it, and my SO won't stop using it no matter the TOS ๐Ÿ˜€

Today marks a major milestone in the development of our privacy-focused calendar: the Proton Calendar Android app is now available in beta for all paid users! It comes in dark mode, and syncs across devices, making it easier than ever to stay up to date:

@Gina
Do you think calling people names will change their views? Or did you just want to express your emotions?
I'm against a lockdown in my country, for many reasons, economics and hungry people who lost their jobs among them, but also personal freedoms. We can't really protest in the streets since here we'll get beaten and/or go to jail for a couple of days for it (it's not new, been like that for years), and I'm happy for your fellow citizens who can go out and show that they still exist.

I love reddit.com/r/selfhosted. It's amazing to see there's a community around this. It re-decentralizes the internet and makes it more self-soverign and private.
