@HandDrawnDarts
I enjoy encrypting with PGP (emails, files) and LUKS (disk partitions) 😆

Come on, did you read the article?
1) it's an optional update so far
2) only system flash component gets deleted, not the ones installed by user
3) my Debian Testing (which probably has code from 1993?) deletes packages with bugs from repos, they eventually break even if installed.

Anyways, people who own Windows accepted the terms and random things MS does should not be a surprise for them. I would even say they deserve those, for supporting a monopoly.

@Samsai
Maybe the thermal paste just dried over time and there will be more reports later

@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat
Yeah, same experience with 20.0
I was installing it just to test, and it just failed repeatedly on creating a first user.
I even tried command line, that just hangs for eternity.
So I dig up 19.0.4, replace all the files and run the same command again. Guess what? Installs in 10 seconds.
Writing down for myself: never use .0 or .1 Nextcloud release.

@jelutz77 @Wetrix looks like that time the fix was to turn it into a feature 😆

@darylsun when I have to use Windows, I use WSL
Basically a VM, but with a good integration and starts instantly.

@nikolal I read somewhere that people taking part in FOSS projects avoid looking at leaked code, but I think that article was about printers. In short, they may accidentally repeat some part of the code and the project will face charges. ReactOS had an issue with that, at one point they had a big clean up where they had to remove chunks of code with unknown source. I'm not sure they will risk even looking at that leak.

@Wetrix sadly, DDG results are not that good, also they pull some from my local search provider that I totally boycott (excessive spying and political reasons, they actively helped police in hunting for an opposition guy), and there is no way to turn that off

@Qwant Hey! Qwant stopped working for me suddenly when VPN is on and I select a country that does not match my IP. I hope this is not intentional. Had to switch to google for the time being 🙈

@Wetrix now that IS sad, I tried to use both of those 😭

@Wetrix Eh, the fixed version was released a couple of weeks before the bug is published. Not really a big security issue.

The thing is, some people did not update from 68.11 to 79 on Android, because 79 has some big limitations in extensions and config. But people should be aware not updating includes some risk.
