The one thing I miss from #Twitter: when a status includes nothing other than a link to another status, the text of the referenced status also appears in the new status. Thus, it's possible get the text of an existing status into another thread (whether the referenced msg in mine or someone else's) w/out requiring a visit. #Mastodon devs, plz consider this enhancement request.

Status is a toot. So the proposed feature is: you can embed someone else's toot into your toot, but only if your toot contains nothing more that a link to another toot.
