@reuters_worldnews that's because no one ever fixes anything in the city thus floods happen all the time
@Br0m3x time to overthrow the Australian government
@joshbdoc @gritnot there's also this os, somewhat new: https://calyxos.org/
@gritnot awesome, I just created a Foss account, so ill add you once my account activates
The privacytools.io team announced that they will be changing their name and possibly discontinuing/migrating some of their services (https://blog.privacytools.io/the-future-of-privacytools/).
If I can muster the energy to do so I might set up my own masto instance this coming weekend. Just in case this service disappears before I manage to do that, followers can follow my pixelfed account (@ansuz). I'll mention my new account from there if this one disappears.
@technoprenerd @gritnot @tootapp this instance will be going offline.
@mario yeah, well have to find another instance. I how they at least made a similar one.
@gritnot you're right, on a different instance, everything is fine. A really I remember talking with someone who said that this instance will be shutting down and moving to a new one.
This 'unique' phishing attack uses Morse code to hide its approach

@mario @social.privacytools.io I've had the same issue, can't see any pictures at all. It keeps saying " media hidden"
@aspie4K @charims that's right. I get that the concept is great but this is definitely a ruze to backdoor everyone's devices and computers. First its "protect the children" next it will be "protect the government" where they will monitor every single message and photo you do. They will come for Linux too, but thankfully our community knows better when it comes to encryption. This is however a great chance to educate people and offer them a better solution.
@sinbach China practically owns Apple and will do whatever they want. No one will oppose China
@aspie4K people will still use the excuse " I have nothing to hide" just because you may not have cp on your phone doesn't mean that you dont have other sensitive information. Why would I trust a human from any government agency to be snooping on my phone. Let's say one of them steals your critical data and uses it for extortion or sells it somewhere else, youll never be able to prove it. Will this "master key" still give access to encrypted devices?
@gritnot there is also a new os that was released recently; https://calyxos.org/
You can install their app store or use f-droid as well. It's best to get a phone that the government isnt watching and a phone that you have full control over especially since you would spend more than $500usd on one.
@gritnot you can get the pinephone, it supports a few great gnu systems if you are good with Linux. There aren't really any Samsung phones that you can use for custom systems unless they are old so you are better off with the oneplus phones or better yet the pixel phones for lineageos. But lineage is not that great from alot of viewpoints from other testers. There is however grapheneos which I think split off to a managed service of copperOS, which is a heavy security oriented os.
@m_svo I hope we atleast get alerted what their new domain will be. The community is pretty awesome here. But its hard for me to find other good ones that are active.
