There was recently a lot of news about DNS over HTTPS. Some people say it's bad for privacy because it centralizes the DNS requests on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9.
Time to change that and run your own DNS over HTTPS server. I spend some time today in writing, documenting and arranging a small container setup to allow you to do this:

Just checked on github, they've released new versions in the past also on a very frequent base. So, I speculate between two scenarios. First, that they started to push new releases in general more frequently (to the non gapps version, as in my case) or these are important security releases indeed. Would be good to find out.

I also noticed the same. Maybe some urgent bug fixes?

Awesome!
If the CASE Act passes, an obscure board within the U.S. Copyright Office will be able to hand out $30,000 penalties to everyday Internet users. It’s a bad idea that’s ripe for abuse. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2019/10/today-tell-congress-not-pass-another-bad-copyright-law

"In Brazil, forest fires rage across the Amazon, burning vast swathes of the rainforest, presided over by a leader who believes climate change is a “Marxist plot.” In America, health-related misinformation has become an epidemic of its own. And in Europe, country after country is losing their hard-earned measles-free status as the anti-vax movement becomes more potent by the day"

So, exactly that happens when politicians and/or managers take their hands on basically anything, what's serving people's needs but not feeding their interests! It's the core function of capitalism. In this context Surveillance Capitalism, as defined by Shoshana Zuboff. So sad to see this happening globally. Keep on resisting, Fediverse!
