@YourAnonRiots Seems to be more than just SAAS (Surveillance as a Service) such as Dataminr. I wonder what offensive tactics they employ.

@ilyess utube is a massive content library, but I too hope to see it diminish in favor of peertube. The movie Idiocracy is great if you haven't seen it. The studio tried to bury it when it came out because it ridiculed so many companies.

@aral Thank you for the latest guide. I hope I am in the 5% by using URL strippers, email cloaking, and other tools when not on TOR.

Our phones are now ID tattoos. I like to go out in town with nothing in my pockets but cash and sometimes have this experience: yewtu.be/watch?v=tFfTludf0SU

@thenewoil
GAFAM are fighting between each other over data collection and trying to ensure they collect more than their competitors. It is not out of concern for individuals' privacy. This is behind Apple's privacy campaign too.

@resist1984 I completely understand why we need to share safe links. Most people are completely unaware of the ID techniques employed and getting some of my friends and family to basic internet security awareness has taken a long time. CF is just one of many companies providing ID services. If I need to get into a Captcha site, I purposely randomize my clicking which takes a little longer. What CF detector would you recommend if any?

@resist1984 Thank you for explaining. I realize they provide identity management services to their clients like many other companies do based on various fingerprinting techniques. This is why I use different browsers for different profiles.

@resist1984 It is back now. Can you share with me the best dirt on how Cloudflare is able to identify people on TOR if that is what they can do? I understand technically how they serve their customers by blocking TOR connections.

@Decentralize_today The only good thing I can think to come of this is that it will encourage some of us to stay in top health to avoid them.

@Wetrix Here is the link without trackers. teddit.net/r/privacy/comments/

I expect this one will get a fight from Germans who remember living under Stasi.

@thenewoil Now we all need to carry a voice changing megaphone just to get a hamburger..

@tilduke Inertia and Stickiness of existing platforms keeps people where they are. Mastodon can and will scale, but I also like the current size and respectful community that currently exists.

If anyone thinks it possible to anonymize location data, please explain. I will not provide even anonymous data to be used against us collectively by the data vultures. When traveling, I use OSMand or Organic Maps with downloaded maps and music on a device without SIM or ID while my real phone stays in a Faraday sleeve. I will not buy a car that has any infotainment or mapping systems until it has a FOSS OS that I can verify and control what data it collects and sends. vice.com/en/article/4avagd/car

@thenewoil Not for me. I only drive with a no-sim no ID phone containing downloaded maps and music connected to a car without any built in navigation or other tracking. I am already uncomfortable with the RFID in my license which I keep in the Faraday sleeve.
