The feature that made Waze more popular than Google maps until Google bought them was the crowdsourced identification of speed traps.
osm.org has the ability to log face traps (surveillance/facial recognition cameras). I have been mapping them as points of type: surveillance.
Some mobile mapping apps such as could show these features to help us know how to safely navigate around town. Edit your neighborhood maps.

I can see that the Germans are working much harder than the Americans at logging these. The only cameras mapped in my town were done by me.
