So I have some questions about this new “free email forwarding” service from @DuckDuckGo… they say “we don’t save your email”. Ok, do you save any metadata? Do you save derived data? Do you plan to use this data in any way whatsoever? Why are you doing this? Purely for goodwill/marketing to gain more users to help push you towards your exit? (DuckDuckGo has VC so it must either IPO or sell to a multi-billion/trillion-dollar company at some point.)

@aral Great questions most DDG users will not ask. I applaud them for adding the feature and raising awareness even if it is closed source and subject to changes in TOS. I will stick with FOSS anonaddy.com or simplelogin.com with the clearurls add on in my browser to ensure nobody is collecting metadata.
