How can anyone truly anonymize location data?
Location data shows where someone sleeps and goes to work or school as well as the bars and doctors one visits. It is not complicated to figure out who one is. Location tracking should be banned, but until then:
Disable location, WIFI scanning, bluetooth scanning and use GPS based locally stored maps such as or other OSM.org maps. Telcos will still have location, and even an anonymous SIM can unmask you based on location.

@krock Hence why I shared it. This may seem good on it's face, but it's just another privacy invasion from Google.

@thenewoil Sorry for sounding like a dick. I was just making sure everybody realizes the problem with location data, especially if you are a priest.

@krock No I get you, just saying that's why I chose to share this story. I was on the fence but ultimately decided it was another personal invasion by Google and thus worth sharing.
