After trashing my surveilled accounts, I wanted my old contacts on those platforms to still be able to find me and get back in touch.
I setup a personal web page with my real name and a little information to identify myself and a link to an @anonaddy.me email account. This was a bit of work to do and beyond the convenience of most people who might also want to cut their ties with those platforms.
Has anyone found a better way to publish a means for reconnecting?
@TheDoctor Right but if I deleted my FB account and the only way we had of communicating with each other was FB, I think you see the problem. To make matters worse, I have changed my phone number and email address which makes it harder for people to find me.
@krock I see, yes. In that case, setting up a website with contact information seems like a decent idea.
@krock I don't really understand the issue here. Just give the people that want to contact you your email and/or phone number and go from there?
