If anybody wants to start developing it, it should not be on github which is also owned by Microsoft.
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat @thedeltaflyer I think github is great but probably not the best place to develop a product competing with MS.
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat This is worthy of an entirely different thread to discuss why MS would pay $7B for Github and what their plans might be to later make it profitable.
@krock Due to GitHub's pattern of behavior, their privacy policy, the fact that the leading privacy and security researchers and advocates all support it, etc. versus GitLab who openly admit to getting their money from user data, I'll take my chances.
@krock @thedeltaflyer This is such just false and harmful. Just because GitHub is owned by Microsoft doesn't make it bad. GitHub doesn't use unnecessary cookies, they don't sell your data, etc. GitLab (and for the most part other code platforms of the same like) are funded primarily by ads or sale of users' data.
