@kravietz @guenther here in Germany you played a deposit and got a big trashbag and when you returned it filled up after the festival you got back 5-10€. That worked really good. If you did not cause trash you collected the one from your neighbors.
But indeed it will not work if it is too cheap and increasing the price punishes the poor...

I used to live almost on the doorstep of Reading Festival (it takes place in the smaller suburb of Caversham) for about 30 years of my life. The whole thing has been an ecological and safeguarding disaster for decades, it already costs nearly 300€ for a full ticket, so the poor are already priced out. also many positive LFT Covid tests were thrown in the gutters outside the venue, as people who have spent so much won't turn back..
Russia 🇷🇺 today announced in Vienna that it won't support an extension beyond 30 Sep of the OSCE border and observer mission at the two checkpoints (Donetsk & Gukovo) on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
The border mission has been routinely reporting military convoys crossing from Russia into Donbass, which has been frequent point of criticism - no wonder they want it stopped.
The mobile OSCE observers they alredy stop wherever they want, and OSCE drones they jam 🤷

Feynman technique - a simple and powerful way to rapidly learn and retain new concepts.
1. Write down the name of concept you're trying to learn.
2. Explain it in plain English, as if you were teaching it to a new student.
3. Identify things you couldn't explain well, re-read the source material and research them. Try explaining again until these knowledge gaps are gone.
4. Simplify your explanation, get rid of technical terms and use simple analogies. ELI5.

Covid tests in the UK are free
If you have covid symptoms, take a PCR test. Its free. https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
If you don't have covid symptoms, but feel like you have a different kind of cold or have regular contact with people, you can get a free lateral flow test from your local pharmacy or chemist. You'll have a result in 30 minutes.
I'm posting this because a friend of mine with a cough was confused about this. Nobody resident in the UK who has symptoms or who is staying put in the UK needs to pay for a test.

1 September 1983 #USSR shot down South Korean passenger KAL 007. For a week USSR denied it completely. Then they argued it was not a civilian plane but a spy plane. The plane was shot down in international air space and USSR shortly identified the place of the crash and dragged remains using trawlers. Only in 1992 USSR declassified documents and transcripts from the military command showing the shoot down was done in mistake.
