The 74,000 numbers of Barclays Bank
The UK faces an epidemic of telephone scams. Fraudsters are constantly calling people up pretending to be their bank. But how can you be sure the number displayed on your screen in genuine? You can't. The telecom system is hopelessly insecure and shouldn't be trusted for anything more complicated than dialling the speaking clock.

Over 40 lawers filed a legal complaint with Moscow court against the arrest of Ivan Pavlov, the lawyer defending Navalny team.
Next step of Kremlin: declare all Moscow lawyers foreign agents 😂
"Megan Cole, a student studying philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE) at Birmingham University, is fighting back. Following a year-long tenancy filled with faulty appliances, leaky ceilings, mould, and ant infestations, Cole has won a two-year legal battle against her unlicensed landlord, who has been ordered to repay the entire year’s rent."

And if you think he's "enemy of renewables", he's not. He makes it clear that the story of Texas blackouts was due to decline in fossil gas supply that was not expected, as opposed to decline in wind generation that was expected.

I'm close to a Libreboot release. I've opened port 80 on my local development web server: http://81.187.191.155/
Thoughts welcome! I'm still updating a lot of old/obsolete info on pages. Certain build docs are missing. It'll be done soon, and uploaded to libreboot.org
This is not the live version of the Libreboot site. I will close port 80 again once this is moved to the official website.

Hello Fediverse!
I am currently preparing material for my potential bachelor thesis in communication design. I'm looking for info on open source usage or workflow in the design industry (but basically everything none-Adobe). I know of David Revoy's book project and would love to hear about more experiences. If you have any yourself or any material at hand (blogs, videos, papers, etc.) I'd be happy if you could send it my way. 😊 ❤️
@kravietz fun fact, germany now has a separate digital communication thingy for the legal system, called "beA", that only lawyers and courts are allowed to use. since it's rather complicated and many lawyers are afraid of technology, they often send the same document over beA, fax, and mail just to be sure. also, the system claimed to have end-to-end encryption, but doesn't.

Will it work this time? Maybe yes, maybe not - it depends on many factors.
One thing is certain, you can't put all eggs in one basked and assume that hydrogen or any other *prospective* technology *will* certainly work, because if it doesn't (and it's quite likely) then you either end up with blackouts (unlikely as nobody can tolerate that) or backup in the dirtiest possible energy generation technology like coal or fossil gas (actually happening).
Hydrogen energy works, but engineering and economy are what makes a huge difference between a lab-scale prototype and successful mass-scale tech.
Hydrogen comes with engineering and safety challenges, which makes it very expensive in "daily usage" that eventually made the past hydrogen hypes fail.
It seems like @meduzaproject fundarising campaign has been quite successful, at least as seen in the cryptocurrency accounts:
BTC $45k https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/bc1qrf2uj202f60uver3r9uyf7kypwaan50mtfyehl
ETH $70k https://ethplorer.io/address/0x00b9d7fe4a2d3acdd4102cfb55b98d193b94c0fa
And note that for BTC donations they gave a new Bech32 address which is still unsupported by major cryptocurrency exchanges.
In case of ETH the balance actually includes "raw" ETH and a number of tokens (USDT, DAI) built on top of it.
Since ~2005 all EU countries have Electronic Signature legislation (1999/93/EC), later renewed as eIDAS (Regulation 910/2014).
It's 2021, companies are still scammed by fake PDF pretending to be an order by a German court, notable judiciary institution, sent with *no* digital signature at all, in a industry where these attacks are frequent 🤷
