Except that USSR did not build high-density housing in order for there to be more green spaces.
USSR built cheap housing, and high-density is cheap.
USSR built 5-story buildings when these were the cheapest.
Once it became cheaper to build 9-story buildings (I think it was 60-70s), USSR started to build 9-story buildings.
Once it became cheaper to build 12 or 16-story buildings (I think it was 80s), USSR started to building these, no matter what.

A small town in a middle of nowhere with a projected population of 2 thousand people?
Let's build five 5-story prefab buildings there, with one 40qm apartment per family, and put everybody into these buildings.
And USSR fans will later say it was so that there will be more green spaces.

Also whatever street greenery is there is predominantly female populus (almost all street greenery in USSR was female populus), and trust me, you do _not_ want to be there for that month while it is blooming, even if you're not allergic.

Not to mention that "the greenest city on the planet" is a lie, 50% seems to come from some official statistics which is a lie and is not in any way related to reality, I lived in Moscow and near Moscow for 15 years, it's not in any way 50% green.
I've been in quite a lot of cities of Western Europe, and they all were much greener than Moscow.
The greenest city I've ever been in? Hong Kong, which is like 90% covered by forests, not mentioning all the urban parks.

В апреле 2021 года был подписан Федеральный закон от 05.04.2021 № 85-ФЗ «О внесении изменений в Федеральный закон «Об образовании в Российской Федерации». Закон вступает в силу 01 июня 2021. Этим законом вводится в том числе понятие просветительской деятельности. Несмотря на громоздкое определение, вкратце это: «просветительская деятельность — осуществляемая вне рамок образовательных программ деятельность, направленная на распространение знаний...». Весь оставшийся список — это частные случаи знаний и перефразировки (Госдума переняла стилистику ФОИВ, у которых какой-то негласный конкурс на литье воды посредством перефразировок одного и того же). Там же два бессмысленных пункта «просветительскую деятельность осуществляют те, кто её осуществляют» (очень ёмкое информативное утверждение) и «просветительская деятельность должна чтить уголовный кодекс», как будто бы без этого уточнения можно его не чтить. Но дьявол затаился в пункте «Порядок, условия и формы.. порядок проведения контроля за ней устанавливается Правительством» «точка конец цитаты». Т.е. весь смысл закона спустить спорную норму на Правительство без ограничений.

Кстати, теперь закон «Об образовании» содержит две противоречивые нормы. Этот закон устанавливает понятие «дополнительное образование» (статья 2 пункт 14), явно пересекающееся с «просвещением» (статья 2 пункт 35 (не вступил в силу, процитирован выше)). А глава 10 (статьи 75 и 75) устанавливают требования к дополнительному образованию. И к непрофессиональному дополнительному образованию явно устанавливается отсутствие специальных требований к лицам. Что немного не согласуется с новой статьей 12.2, отдающей всё на поруки Правительства.

Как вы думаете, Правительство создало порядок? Он продуман, соответствует нормам права и российского законодательства и однозначно трактуется?

В пятницу 23 апреля 2021 года под вечер Минпросвещения (какой каламбур-то) размещает проект Постановления Правительства «Об утверждении Положения об осуществлении просветительской деятельности». Половину акта занимает подробное описание по каким направлениям может вестись просветительская деятельность, в каких формах. Процитирую краткую выжимку: «по иным направлениям», «в иных формах». Одновременно с этим устанавливается, что просвещение может теперь осуществляться только по договору с учреждением культуры, науки или образования. К физическим лицам предъявляются строгие требования (в том числе к сотрудникам организаций), например, отсутствие судимости (общие ограничения на занятие просветительской деятельностью). Иностранным агентам запрещено заниматься просвещением. Контроль за соблюдением осуществляется теми организациями, с которыми заключили договор. Если они находятся в ведении госорганов, то — госорганами (это важное уточнение)

WTF ... Mozilla had always running JavaScript inside PDFs disabled by default.

But now with FF 88 this option is ENABLED by default. Which means, if a PDF file contains JS it will run without any user interaction. What can possibly go wrong?

To disable this:

about:config
pdfjs.enableScripting --> false

# FF 78.10 ESR doesn't include this option and still blocks JS in PDFs by default. Just tested.

We know that the influenza virus exists. We know that there are non-human reservoir pools (it co-evolves in birds and swine, if not other animals as well).

What we've determined here is that if you disrupt the conditions necessary for it to propagate among humans you can virtually eliminate it within the human population, and reduce deaths by 97%.

As an analogue, we know that the viewpoints, thoughts, and expressions that occur via algorithmic social media exist without it. But somehow the addition of that highly-effective and "engagement-generating" distribution system has overwhelmingly toxic effects.

(Both viruses and memes are information transmission under selective pressure with behavioural consequences.)
