Actually I was able to install qutebrowser, but then video on YT and PeerTube are practically useless, as single frames are displayed.

@atoponce

If you keep both keys at the same home/office then the attack surface will be the same for both. If the backup is kept in a safe or other secured location then there's an increase in attack surface although a negligible one, while at the same time the increase in business continuity is substantial.

P.S. you can also have U2F and TOTP as backup, although two U2F is probably more secure.

Good question. I've just fired it up briefly yesterday and indeed there seems to be no web browser installed. I haven't had time to investigate further but I wanted to use it in server use cases anyway. GUI would be still interesting for performance testing though.

@mark@metalhead.club Oh no, Molly is an Android app. Nezha comes with a pre-loaded Debian on a microSD. Really cool to see Debian builds available for risc64 architecture by default :)

I've just installed Molly, open-source implementation/build of Signal messenger.

In short: it works great.

The only issue was that it couldn't restore the backup created by the actual Signal app apparently due to Molly implementing slightly older version of backup format.

@ruffni I don't know yet as I haven't yet have time to unpack it 😂 Will give it a test run tomorrow. So far I've been running a farm of SOpine as my primary server environment (on Armbian), NanoPi R2S as a router/firewall, and quite satisfied with all of them. Now very curious about RISC V, unfortunately day job prevents me from giving it a go.

> you retrofit insulation

Been there, doesn't work 😉 Old buildings have hundreds of thermal bridges where energy escapes.

On the other hand, the improvements in this field are largely asymptotic - if you got your house built up to 15 kWh/m2 standard ("passive house") you don't really need to move any further for the next 100 years.

An average UK house has ~100 kWh/m2 usage there's certainly massive room for improvement.

No black & white answers here, need to look case per case.

Anyone can do formal assessment of a website? My customer needs one, can be through Upwork or B2B. DM me and I'll refer you to the customer.

So when you hear next time "no evidence for missile fragments from Buk rocket", this is 100% false - there have been hundreds of metal pieces found in the fuselage, plane cockpit, seats, books inside cockpit and pilots' bodies. There have been ~370 missile fragments recovered and the court went through them one by one, comparing them with different missile versions. There also have been pieces of the rocket and avionics recovered.
