@dump_stack What I wanted to point out is the picture of the world as presented by today's mainstream media in Russia is as accurate as Soviet media praising freedom of speech in USSR.

Russia as a country and society is certainly very distant from USSR even in its most "liberal" periods, but Russian state media is deep in the Soviet times.

This disparity has led to massive decline in trust in Russian media among Russian audience by the way (80% to <30% IIRC)

I don't think they are "punished". They are just still subject to self-isolation while the vaccinated people are released, which is pretty pragmatic approach.

@epic I'm speaking purely from vaccine supply point of view - there's a whole shitstorm now in EU vs UK where much lower per-capita vaccination rate in EU is presented as "fiasco" while UK PM is celebrating how "capitalism and greed" guaranteed victory to post-Brexit Britain. I just wanted to put that into perspective...
