@stux: Before dropping off FB I used to push the idea that for any post that someone would share to also find an additional source from a traditional (FOX would count too) source that gave detail. My conservative friends hated this idea and one common thread was, "but I don't have the TIME to search google for the same story. And I can't find it most of the times." That should be their clue but they seem to not think that means it was false because it fits their narrative.

@Bobo_PK And I was just wondering about these 502 Internal Server errors I was getting Signal Desktop...
"У силовиков полный набор ОПГ: отравления, пытки, избиения, незаконное преследование и жучки. При этом уголовное дело заводится против Соболь, а Навального объявляют в федеральный розыск. Хотя должно быть с точностью наоборот".

Thanks, I certainly can try that, especially as the server is stuffed in a cupboard without a good ventiallation.
European Medicines Agency (EMA), the leading certification body for #covid vaccine in EU has been hacked and some of email and registration documents stolen and then leaked on darknets but, most importantly, they were *modified* prior to publication "in a way which could undermine trust in vaccines".
This is interesting, because if you're into business espionage, you don't leak your trophies. In this case the objective seems to be boosting existing anti-vax paranoias.
In Poland I've seen bikers who were casually feeding birds by throwing bird feed to the sides as they rode on their designated cycle lane. Birds tend to leave marks on whatever surface they feed on so it would be very unfortunate if anything prone to scratches would be left there.

@feld Simple darwinism - they get more clicks from pictures of attractive women than... well, whatever
Oh thanks! My home server is HP MicroServer so not much space inside but I certainly can apply this recommendation to my NanoPi & SOPine boxes which also tend to overheat!
Wow just discovered that it's #zfs scrub on my 3 HDD array that heats my CPU to 85°C which results in a hard thermal shutdown from BIOS (previously unexplained).
The solution: lm-sensors & zpool scrub in an ugly script which periodically checks temp, pauses scrub before it hits 85 and restarts after a few mins wait to cool down.
If my son asks me "what you do as an infosec engineer" what do I say? 🤦♂️ 😂
