You seem to be confused because you're applying simplistic centralised service logic - as in WhatsApp or Signal - to a *protocol.*. It's like going to XMPP protocol website and complaining there's no field to fill in your personal data and start chatting with your Facebook friends.
> Trump supporters haven't burned cities before
Well, apart from killing dozens of people each of the last few years and staging actual terrorist attacks - no, they didn't burn any cities indeed...

#docker why would you use modern template-based configuration management if you can use monster sed scripts from 80's based on random undocumented environment variables? π€¦ββοΈ π₯ #openoffice
Yes, because even during peaceful BLM the Capitol was protected by riot police in full gear so you can clearly see double standards here.
Gun rights activists on a rally, legally entered the Capitol building in full gear. I think they were happening all around the country, this one was iconic because the guy has Russian camo and weapon. Similarities with Crimea were quite obviously noted π

Hello!
My name is Dave and I'm 40-something human male, living in lock-down in London.
I enjoy taking things apart and then trying to put them back together again (biological (for work) and electrical (for fun and for work)). Linux user and sometimes sysadmin, privacy advocate, and occasional femtobrewer.
For this, my #introduction toot, I present these photographic offerings of a spoilt dog and a smug alley cat. You're bound to like one or both.
This one is from today and has been already linked with the infamous "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" quote, which seems to be highly selectively applied here

As it comes out, this January 2020 photo from Capitol building in Frankfurt, Kentucky, was kind of prophetic. How many fans of Russian camo & weapons today? #capitolbuilding

@resist1984 I would be so sure about the last one because GDPR is a directive. EU directives, as a principle, are implemented into the national laws of the member states, including UK before Brexit.
@resist1984 Most large companies with business presence in EU do offer removal of user data and other requests mandated by GDPR - just search for "COMPANY gdpr request". They absolutely do it painful and obscure, but it's absolutely possible and I've done it with some. For Equifax see https://www.equifax.co.uk/crain/

So when you talk about increasing share of wind and solar energy, this means you also need to increase dirty mining operations by hundreds and thousands times more.

@blueplanetslittlehelper @laufi @felippo
And the difference between nuclear and wind/solar is that due to very low surface power density of the latter you need actually mine hundreds times *more*. And then wind/solar occupy hundreds of km2 more for the same nominal power.
@blueplanetslittlehelper @laufi @felippo
And no, in-situ leaching is not fracking. The only reason why they call it fracking is to ride a recent hysteria around fracking.
Which will continue because anti-nuclear activists cause low-emission nuclear power plants to be replaced with fossil gas, so the demand for gas will only increase.
Congratulations!
@blueplanetslittlehelper @laufi @felippo
In China and Africa rare earth metals used to manufacture PV are mined with even less environmental controls, but obviously nobody cares because "renewables are clean" by definition.
In reality anything digged from the ground contains some radioactive elements and rare earth is often mined along with uranium.
This is why the website you linked is 100% propaganda - it presents problems that apply to all energy sources as unique to nuclear.
