Any sources for that? Because these days a tyre blown in a truck is reported as an "nuclear power plant explosions" as long as it has blown on the plant's territory :)

COVID vaccine

@Elizafox

> people won't trust the vaccine

Thanks to litigation lawyers and scientific frauds *some* people won't trust any vaccines but I guess we just need to live with the fact that they eliminate themselves from the gene pool over time 🤷‍♂️

COVID vaccine

@Elizafox

Even the "high rate of adverse effects" in case of vaccines is still statistically negligible from individual point of view. And in case of the evaluated COVID-10 vaccines it's not even close to "high".

At the same time, from the same point of view (mine), adverse effects of being susceptible to COVID-19 infection are much more tangible risk.

So I personally would go for a vaccine as soon as it's available.

@garritfra To be honest, I stopped following any dedicated news portals long time ago as they have very low signal-to-noise ratio from my interests' point of view. I rely almost entirely on following the right people Mastodon and Twitter, and dropping interesting news on each other when not seen posted by other people.

UK The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) be like:

* oppose over 30 onshore & offshore wind, wave, CCS and nuclear projects in UK
* call for the UK to become net zero on carbon emissions by 2050
* rent a nature reserve in Saltholme for a fossil gas power plant

#introduction

Hi all. I'm a musician and recent Linux audio convert, currently working on new material (after a long hiatus). I'm also developing/self-hosting my first website (more on that soon), attempting vegetarianism, collecting a private cache of unpublished philosophical essays, trying to turn a somewhat idiosyncratic narrative theory into a practical screen writing system, obsessively researching transitory fascinations, and forgetting to meditate.

Hit me up if this resonates.

Two lasses in #Middlesborough, NE England ended up fighting in the egg aisle of Tesco during the Remembrance Day silence.

The fight had to be broken up by Cleveland Police - such bird-brained behaviour could possibly land the pair before the beak 😆

So I currently have enough money now to buy a new laptop. I don’t believe in buying new things unnecessarily either. Do you have a 13 inch or smaller laptop that will run Linux well and still have usable battery life that you want to sell me?! Please boost! Would love to buy a laptop from the fediverse.

The developers of Signal are currently doing a user survey:

surveys.signalusers.org/s3

I told them that I really like the app but also that I would like:
a) Signal on @fdroidorg
b) a proper desktop client
c) no data stored in "secure enclaves"

Maybe you'd like to tell them, too?

Dokładnie... sporo tego widzę w UK, ale podtlenek chyba nie ma żadnych długotrwałych skutków, w odróżnieniu od np. rozpuszczalników.
