The problem in Poland can be summarised as "poor legal culture".
Law making is very much like software design: you need proper design, architecture and building blocks. If you say use some term (like "meeting") in the law, you need a proper declaration, and if you use a synonym (like "gathering") you need to know *why* you used a different term.
I worked a lot in IT--related legislation in 2000's and all these design standards do exist in Poland, but are simply ignored...
> In this case it’s poor journalism
Come on, if you have companies canceling online events with legal experts advising it could fall under prosecution, then it's has an actual impact on economy.
The question mark is I guess not about whether it's true or not, but whether the law was passed intentionally or as result of stupidity :)
Law execution in Poland is speculative, so those who may be sanctioned are obviously preparing for the most absurd interpretation. I had my chance to experience it first-hand when in 2014 ZUS was trying to prosecute me for insurance premiums correctly paid in 2004 for a company closed in 2010 :)

* Schools were face-to-face since the 1 Sep new school year until 16 October; then gradual shift to online - only now fully online.
* Testing rate *much much* too low. 2020-11-04 bluebird data for yesterday: 69,000 tests, 25,000 positive results = 36% positive. => true infection rate must be *much* higher.
* Church gatherings unrestrained.
* Censorship of medical personnel - only a few early cases are listed here:

* Change of health minister.
Poland has just banned... online conferences and events 😂 Some say it's by mistake but law is a law.

@dump_stack This sounds likely, largest growth was in Małopolska which is traditionally quite conservative...
That's what I was also thinking but both UK and Poland do have an extensive testing programs now - not necessarily the case back in April...
Wow... cases per million continue to be skyrocketing in #poland since end of September, even exceeding UK by a factor of two! Even though in April it was 10:1 the other way around... Any idea why? 🤔
@echo_pbreyer Thank you Patrick for this in-depth and very well sourced work 👍
They don't repeat always but as a statistical phenomenon, specifically because the whole point of sexual reproduction is mixing of genes. The concept of racial purity is simply anti -biological and could be justified by pre-scientific ignorance but in 2020 this argument is long gone.

Yes, it's much better logic to just muddy waters with "we can't prove it but it's true" style of argument. Classic Marxist approach, you truly mastered it! 👍
@TradeMinister @amerika @hystericempress
Just to remind you, the pioneers of racial theory always attempted to make it a hard science, starting from US and European eugenicists, inventing pseudo-sciences such as phrenology. So if you're now running away from science towards some kind of "this can't be proven scientifically but I know it's true" then it's a pretty good sign that you aren't really confident about this BS.
