This part about "recruiting your children" is utter BS that is being spread by modern bigots who simply seek someone to hate and are not confirmed by science. You either are born with homosexual tendencies or not. This is just another iteration of the old "Jews blood Christian children" myth, rewritten for another hate target. Spreading this is the most anti-Christian thing you can do and is in direct violation of the 8th commandment.

Android is open-source project. We, as Android users, could take control of the project and its direction. I guess?

You seem to be dramatically misunderstanding Christianity - or you misrepresent it.

New Testament and especially Jesus teaching speaks virtually nothing about these topics. It however speaks a lot about all people being equal, tolerance and peace between people of different backgrounds.

This obsession of sexual topics only appears quite late, a whole millenium after Christ.

If you truly consider yourself a Catholic, I strongly suggest you read Catechism:

Mastodon highly encourages image descriptions to be written, which is something I've come to enjoy quite a bit. My client tells me to do it "for the visually impaired", but think it is selling it short. Image descriptions are very useful means for providing context to an image that would otherwise be awkward to put in the main toot. I think they should be fun and have some personality too!

e.foundation/ went a step further and actually removed any Google calls from the LineageOS code, which is probably closest to what you're looking for

@michel_slm @vfrmedia @onepict @PINE64

It's a spectrum :) Vanilla LineageOS has zero Google services, except for connectivity check.

Now, the critical factor is Google Play Services, the classic vendor lock-in trap.

Most people - myself included - deal with it by using lineage.microg.org/ a Google API emulator essentially.

Wait, but isn't this because of _server_ side preference on _your_ side?

And you think you're being spied on? 🤣
