"Dan Price gained worldwide attention in 2015 when he announced that he was instituting a $70,000 minimum wage at his company, Gravity Payments, and would slash his $1 million salary in order to pay for it. While many praised the decision as a bold step toward combating income inequality in the United States, others vilified Price as a radical socialist whose "experiment" was doomed to fail."
(spoiler: it didn't; now he wrote a book)
Correct, I did the spray. Didn't even realize these baked in exist, but sounds like a good thing.
Interesting breakdown of using Google Earth images (and other tricks) to track the failure of Russia's nuclear cruise missile program.

@dump_stack Population density is low in general but people are concentrated in towns like Blagoveschensk, Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk etc. Note the SCMP article - if Chinese border force are now stopping infected people coming *back* from these towns, the epidemics outbreak there must be noticeable.
1.3m is just tourists, last year overall traffic was ~2m. But you're right that Russia and most European countries closed travel from China pretty much at the same time (end of Jan).
It still seems like the numbers if Russia's far east are indeed very underestimated. This is where we should see the epidemics spreading in the first place, but even now the official numbers are like "50 cases".
At the same time:
It's not hard science, I usually keep any insecticide infused clothes for a season and then repeat at the beginning of the new season.
Tomorrow at 11 AM PDT join Long Now Foundation for a day of discourse on rare-but-predictable threats with [a long list of reasonable environmental scientists]. If my calculations are correct, this is from 19:00 GMT.
@thor Precisely that was the original purpose of my Z-Wave project - the existing "thermostat" was a joke since it only measured temperature in one place of the house where nobody was really ever staying (corridor). But in a house with central gas heating it's quite difficult because I couldn't control water heaters with Z-Wave walves (or I could but it would be completely different scale of project).
@thor Nice, I had my house wired with Z-Wave sensors but never got to lamps as there were only some crap WiFi controlled ones back then :) I have just bookmarket your toots in case I return to this project in future! π
Ah that makes perfect sense! So you're kind of replicating the daylight light using your internal lighting? Really cool. And how are you controlling everything - Z-Wave or something like this?
What is the purpose of the sensor here?
