Isn't that the guy who saved more than he earned per month while paying a laughably low rent to his parents and also received a free car out of the blue?

It says in the article he saved 1200£/month on a 14k£/year salary, which is possible if you round down, but not so if you consider that he also pays 2k£/yr for a car, 120£/month in rent, and that food isn't even counted. The numbers just don't add up, as he should be paying closer to 17k£/year, maybe even 18
Also note 14k£/year salary really translates to ~£1000 per month take home after tax. You mathematically can't save £1200/month if you only get £1000 paid into your bank account, minus £120 for rent, minus £160 for car, minus basic bills (say £100) and food (say £100).
However, what he says about "cramming bags of rubble and a whole staircase into his Fiesta" certainly demonstrates a entrepreneurial and DIY spirit which indeed lets you save a lot of money in the UK.
