@kravietz I live in a semi rural area and saw many comments in local news claiming that local British people *did* apply but never even got replies from the farms (suggesting farms also expected the govt to do the same level of admin work an employment agency would rather than handle their own recruitment paperwork) - also its difficult to recruit young physically fit people who can work long hours in rural areas with population declines and few young people around to start with...
