This apparent paradox is caused by a slight difference between the massive increase in risk of death increasing with age and nearly as massive decrease in risk with full vaccination.
Nearly, but slightly smaller.
For a 70 yo person, the increase in risk from age alone is 32x as compared to 35 yo.
Double vaccination reduces that risk by 20x.

Depending on the total number of vaccinated vs unvaccinated people in the society, you can get any result you want.
For example, if everyone was vaccinated, 100% of hospitalized people would be vaccinated. This says nothing about the effects of the vaccine.

Most anti-vaxxers take data out of context unfortunately, so interpretations are naïvely made without stats understanding - the vaccine reduces the chance of death by at least 94%, but it's hard to convince people.

Now, this is a nice showcase but not a representative statistics (one day, small sample).
A more detailed picture could be recently seen in the UK report, which has been promptly picked up by anti-vaxers as proof that "vaccines are harmful", as 63% of people who died of Delta variant received at least one dose of vaccine.
How?
