A lone tourist with improvised SRT (rope climbing/descending) equipment was found at -1100 m in Veryovkina cave in Abkhazia. He most likely died there last year (!) after being unable to pass a technically demanding rope sections.

Everything in this story just screams "WTF". You never go caving alone, and you never go to a vertical cave without proper SRT equipment, skills and fitness. Veryovkina is like Chomolungma in among climbers.
