Greenpeace has been talking about sails and batteries, but even their own ships run on diesel as EV ships are simply infeasible from technical point of view.

I don't like it but it's probably the most feasible solution for the global cargo traffic.

Even in terms of daily pollution but also worst-case accident pollution nuclear fleet is objectively safer than what we use today. In Kursk disaster in 2001 the submarine was blown up and hull broke in two parts, yet the reactors safely shut down and were later picked up with no leaks. Diesel ships are polluting the sea with regular leaks and especially during accidents all the time.
