There has been quite a lot of interesting developments in the world of unambiguous representation of data - mostly all kinds of addresses of network services.

This one - proquint, (2009) stands out, as it proposes a high-density data encoding for long numbers such as credit card numbers, memory or IP addresses:

This 2020 publication looks at some of the past proposals, including proquint, for word-based encoding of long cryptographic keys and hashes.
