What I wrote is that union activists effectively closed the circle by becoming rentiers themselves, living off someone else's work and monopolising the job market.

I read the article, and although i haven’t looked up neoliberism i have an idea what it is. Is the central theme that neoliberalism caused part of this backlash against itself?

I think that there’s a lot of factors at play, as some of the commenters pointed out. However for me, i lean towards the weaponizing of information and social manipulation: the pulling of global strings.
