German Greens are terrible and notorious liars.
In Fukushima nobody died as result of the nuclear power plant failure.
Thousands of people died in tsunami that also damaged the plant.

I don't think the journalist lied intentionally. The idea of "thousands killed in Fukushima" has been repeatedly and intentionally spread in connection with nuclear power by Greens for ages.
Now they removed that paragraph and it's unclear whether it was just a dumb journalist, or quote-not-marked-a-quote from one of the MEPs:
