@kmic Absolutely it is, because 19th century was only the beginning of the modern epistemology of science. Eugenics for example was totally pseudo-scientific from modern point of view.

Nonetheless, speaking specifically of vaccination, anyone who did it in 19th century even in its early forms had much larger chances of survival than those that didn't, which was the very reason why it became so popular in aristocratic circles in the first place.
