So the actual story is people are using food banks in Texas because so many are unable to work due to pandemics. In Soviet times, people were queueing for food on their feet, not cars, and for decades, not on pandemic events.

This is what makes capitalism so much more reprehensible. USSR might've had shortages due to mismanagement. However, shortages under capitalism are due to stupendous wealth concentration with a tiny minority at the expense of the majority.
