@kmic I think that - apart from dumb media and frauds like Wakefield or Seralini - the primary cause is total lack of public education about issues critical for the society.

Education has been kind of delegated to schools and limited to children. I once asked Polish vaccinology experts when there was any countrywide public campaign educating about vaccines... and the answer was a blank stare, and then "maybe 80's" 🤦‍♂️
