Also, if you do need to bin them, do not literally throw them to the bin, but take them to nearest pharmacy - they will securely dispose of them and, if they're still valid for use, can donate them to those who might need them.

@kravietz I was planning to take them to a pharmacy if needed, but as it is, I was able to pass them on to someone in need. AFAIK all meds returned to pharmacies in the UK are destroyed. Hence why trying to find someone in need.
