Dugin belongs to a specific fraction of Russian nationalist politics among people like Leonid Ivashov, Dmitry Rogozin, Konstantin Malofeev, Igor Prigozhin.
All of them represent the same "geopolitical" and "Eurasian" line of politics.
I personally consider all of them "weirdos" due to their political views which I consider detached from reality, nonetheless all of them do have influence on modern Russian politics.
