@kravietz Yeah, HK here. You mean from a pure connectivity, routing and peering point of view? We don't have the Golden Shield just yet.

Someone wrote on Twitter that British Nationals Overseas applications might have been blocked from HK but then I remembered that you don't have the Shield, so it was strange. Can you try the BNO form and check if it works?
@kravietz That works, but from what I can tell it's not for BNO, it's for a regular British.
@clacke Ah right, so it's probably just the regular visa form https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa but you need to select Hong Kong (British nationals overseas) in the second step. But the if the first works, I see no reason it would work...
@kravietz I checked the instructions for applying for a BNO passport and they actually direct you to www.gov.uk/overseas-passports .
I saw wording and choices in there that suggested you might upgrade from e.g. BNO to British passport, but I guess that's just one of multiple use cases for the guide, and it depended on the choices I made.
