Well, as it is clear from the article it's not a problem with BAT but with Ethereum, on which BAT is based. BAT is one of many dapps that suffer from these absurdly high fees. If situation continues, Brave will need to look for alternative payment solutions, which would be a shame since how BAT works currently is quite smooth user and publisher experience
