'europe' is a fake idea. there is no 'european culture' or 'european history'. the subcontinent has never been internally homogeneous or externally closed
the greeks felt more of a connection to india (which alexander tried to conquer, and where multiple greek philosophers, pyrrho and democritus for example, went to study). rome was stronger in egypt and asia minor than it ever was in what is now france or spain. most of the current european 'nation states' aren't nations, and don't have institutional continuity going farther back than 300 or so years (germany and italy both were unified in the 1800s)
the sole unifying strand of 'european' anything is whiteness. 'europe' is white ideology
